Change or delete an existing One Touch or Speed Dial number.

To change or delete a One Touch number, go to SECTION A: CHANGING OR DELETING ONE TOUCH NAMES OR NUMBERS.
- To change or delete a Speed Dial number, go to SECTION B: CHANGING OR DELETING SPEED DIAL NAMES OR NUMBERS.
SECTION A: CHANGING OR DELETING ONE TOUCH NAMES OR NUMBERS
You can change or delete an existing One Touch number by following these steps:

Press MENU and choose Fax => Address Book => One Touch Dial.

Press the ONE TOUCH key with the number you want to change or delete.

If the number of One Touch keys is 8:
To access One Touch numbers 9 through 16, hold down the SHIFT key and press the appropriate One Touch key.
If the number is 20:
To access One Touch numbers 21 through 40, hold down the SHIFT key and press the appropriate One Touch key.
- Your Brother machine's LCD will display the name or number stored at that One Touch location with the message "1. Change 2. Exit."

If the number of One Touch keys is 8:
-
Press 1.
-
Do one of the following:
-
If you want to keep the current number, go to STEP 5.
-
Use the dial pad to edit or enter a fax or telephone number.
The number can be up to 20 digits long. You can use the REDIAL/PAUSE key to insert a 3.5-second (for UK: 2.8-second) pause in the stored number. You can enter multiple pauses by repeatedly pressing the REDIAL/PAUSE key.-
To erase a character, follow these steps:
-
Press the LEFT OR RIGHT ARROW key to position the cursor under the character you want to delete.
- Press the CLEAR/BACK key to delete the character. You can press the CLEAR/BACK key repeatedly to erase multiple characters.

Press the LEFT OR RIGHT ARROW key to position the cursor under the character you want to delete.

To insert a character, follow these steps:
-
Press the LEFT OR RIGHT ARROW key to position the cursor where you want to insert a new character.
- Type the character you want to insert.
-
Press the LEFT OR RIGHT ARROW key to position the cursor where you want to insert a new character.

To erase a character, follow these steps:

If you want to keep the current number, go to STEP 5.

Press the OK key.

Do one of the following

If you want to keep the current name, go to STEP 7.

If you want to erase one character, follow these steps:

Press the LEFT OR RIGHT ARROW key to position the cursor under the character you want to delete.
- Press the CLEAR/BACK key to delete the character. You can press the CLEAR/BACK key repeatedly to erase multiple characters.

Press the LEFT OR RIGHT ARROW key to position the cursor under the character you want to delete.

If you want to insert a character, follow these steps:

Press the LEFT OR RIGHT ARROW key to position the cursor where you want to insert a new character.
- Type the character you want to insert.

Press the LEFT OR RIGHT ARROW key to position the cursor where you want to insert a new character.

If you want to keep the current name, go to STEP 7.

Press the OK key.

Do one of the following:

If you do not want to change the default fax resolution setting, go to STEP 9.
- If you want to save a fax resolution setting with the number, press the UP OR DOWN ARROW key to choose STD, FINE, S. FINE, or PHOTO.

If you do not want to change the default fax resolution setting, go to STEP 9.

Press the OK key.

Do one of the following:
-
To change or delete another One Touch number, repeat STEPS 2 through 9.
- To finish changing or deleting one touch names or numbers, press the STOP/EXIT key.

To change or delete another One Touch number, repeat STEPS 2 through 9.
SECTION B: CHANGING OR DELETING SPEED DIAL NAMES OR NUMBERS
You can change or delete an existing Speed Dial number by following these steps:

Press MENU and choose Fax => Address Book => Speed Dial.
-
Enter the three-digit Speed Dial location with the number you want to change or delete.
-
Press the OK key. Your Brother machine's LCD will display the name or number stored at that Speed Dial location with the message "1. Change 2. Exit."
-
Press 1.
-
Do one of the following:
-
If you want to keep the current number, go to STEP 6.
-
