I cannot receive a color fax.

Review the following information listed below to resolve the issue.


  • Make sure the person sending the fax has a fax machine capable of sending color faxes.

  • Replace the color ink cartridges that are empty or nearly empty, and then ask the other person to send the color fax again.

  • When you change the Compatibility setting to Basic(for VoIP), your Brother machine's color fax receiving feature is turn off.
    For more information on how to change the Compatibility setting, refer to the User's Guide for your machine. The latest User's Guide is available in the Manuals section.
