Ink Low
The message "Ink Low" will be displayed on the machine's display of the Brother machine if one or more of the ink cartridges are near the end of their life.

For printing and copying:
You can continue to use the machine until the machine's display shows "Cannot Print. Replace Ink Cartridge".

For faxing:
You can continue to receive black and white faxes but cannot receive color faxes.
If you want to receive color faxes, replace the indicated ink cartridge and clear the Ink Low error message.
If you do not replace the ink, color faxes will be received as black and white faxes.
In addition, some fax machines may be prevented from sending color faxes to your Brother machine. In this case, have the person send a fax in black and white.

Check that you are using "Genuine" Brother replacement ink cartridges.

If you are using non-Brother ink cartridges or refilled ink cartridges, we recommend you replace the ink cartridges with genuine Brother ink cartridges.
