How do I store Speed Dial numbers on my Brother machine for easy dialing?
You can program your Brother machine to do one type of easy dialing: Speed Dialing. If you lose electrical power, Speed Dial numbers stored in memory will not be lost.
Storing Speed Dial numbers:
Speed Dial numbers are stored as two-digit locations on the dial pad of your Brother machine. Once you have programmed a number to a Speed Dial location, you can dial the number by pressing the Up Arrow key (Speed Dial), Search, the OK key, the two-digit Speed Dial number and the Black Start (Mono Start) or Color Start (Colour Start) key. The Brother machine can store 100 Speed Dial numbers. To store Speed Dial numbers, please follow these steps:
- Press the Up Arrow key (Speed Dial).
- Press the Up or Down Arrow key to select Set Speed Dial.
- Press OK.
- Press the Up or Down Arrow key to select the two-digit Speed Dial location where you want to store the number.
Available Speed Dial locations will be listed as "Not Registered" on the LCD.
- Press OK.
- Do one of the following:
Enter the name (up to 16 characters) and press OK.
-OR-
To store the number without a name, press OK.
- Enter the fax or telephone number (up to 20 digits).
- Press OK.
- Do one of the following:
Enter the second fax or telephone number (up to 20 digits) and press OK.
-OR-
If you do not want to store a second number, press OK.
- Press the Up or Down Arrow key to select Complete.
- Press OK.
- Do one of the following:
To store another Speed Dial number go to STEP 4.
-OR-
To finish press Stop/Exit.
