When receiving a a single page fax, why does the fax print on two pages or a blank sheet ejects afterwards?
If the received data is divided and printed on 2 pages or if you get an additional blank page, your Paper Size setting and/or the Reduction setting may not be correct for the paper you are using.
Adjust the paper size setting by following the instructions listed below:
Press the Menu/Set or Menu key.
Press the Up or Down Arrow key or the dial pad to select General Setup and press Menu/Set or OK.
Press the Up or Down Arrow key or the dial pad to select Paper Size and press Menu/Set or OK.
Press the Up or Down Arrow key or the dial pad to select the tray and press Menu/Set or OK.
Press the Up or Down Arrow key to select the paper size you are using and press Menu/Set or OK.
Press Stop/Exit.
If you are using the fixed reduction feature, check to see if the reduction ratio is set to ON. (We recommend turning the setting to "AUTO REDUCTION" ON.)
To check the reduction setting:
If the FAX mode key is not illuminated, press it.
Press the Menu/Set or Menu key.
Press the Up or Down Arrow key or the dial pad to select FAX and press Menu/Set or OK.
Press the Up or Down Arrow key or the dial pad to select Setup Receive and press Menu/Set or OK.
Press the Up or Down Arrow key or the dial pad to select Auto Reduction and press Menu/Set or OK.
Press the Up or Down Arrow key to select ON (or OFF) and press Menu/Set or OK.
Press Stop/Exit.
