How do I lock the control panel settings?
When necessary, you can set a password to limit access to menus from the control panel.
This helps prevent items from being changed accidentally.
While Setting Lock is On, the following operations are NOT available without a password:
- Date & Time
- Station ID
- Set Quick-Dial (One-Touch Dial, Speed-Dial and Setup Groups)
- Mode Timer
- Paper Type
- Small Paper
- Volume
- Auto Daylight
- Ecology
- LCD Contrast
- Memory Security
To turn on Setting Lock follow the eteps listed below:
- Press the Menu/Set key on the control panel.
- Press up or down navigation key until General Setup appears and press Menu/Set.
- Press up or down navigation key until Security appears and press Menu/Set.
- Press up or down navigation key until Setting Lock appears and press Menu/Set.
- Enter a four-digit number for the password.
- Press Menu/Set. The LCD shows "Verify:"
- Re-enter the password and press Menu/Set.
- Press Stop/Exit.
