Outline of viewing the LCD Screen

 

When the machine is turned on, the LCD will light up and the following screen is displayed.To change the displayed settings, use the operation keys.

(1) img02 Presser foot

Shows the symbol for the presser foot to be used. Before sewing, attach one of the presser feet shown here.

img07 Overcasting foot “G” img08 Side cutter “S”
img09 Buttonhole foot “A”  

* The symbols for certain presser feet, such as zipper foot “I” and the quilting foot, may not appear in the screen.

(2) Stitch preview Shows a preview of the selected stitch.
(3) img10 Stitch category

Shows the category of the currently selected stitch pattern.

img12 :  Utility stitch
img13 :  Decorative stitch (category 1: Decorative stitches)
img14 :  Decorative stitch (category 2: Decorative satin stitches/Satin stitches/Cross stitch stitches)
img15 :  Decorative stitch (category 3: Utility decorative stitches)
img16 :  Character stitch (Gothic font)
img17 :  Character stitch (Handwriting font)
img18 :  Character stitch (Outline)
img19 :  Character stitch (Japanese font)

 

(4) Stitch number

Shows the number of the currently selected stitch pattern.

(5) img20 Needle position setting

Shows whether the needle is in the programmed raised or lowered position. In addition, shows whether the single needle mode or twin needle mode is selected.

img23 : Single needle/up position img24 : Twin needle/up position
(6) img25 Single/repeat sewing

Shows single or continuous stitch patterns sewing mode setting.

(7) img28 Horizontal mirror image Appears when the stitch is mirrored.
(8) img29 Stitch width Shows the stitch width of the currently selected stitch pattern.
(9) img30 Stitch length Shows the stitch length of the currently selected stitch pattern.
(10) img31 Automatic reverse/
reinforcement stitching
Shows that the automatic reverse/reinforcement stitching is currently turned on.
(11) img32 Automatic thread cutting Shows that the programmed thread cutting is currently turned on.
