I'm having trouble reading the information on my Brother machine's LCD. How can I adjust the LCD's contrast and brightness?
If you are having difficulty reading the Brother machine's LCD, you can adjust its contrast and brightness by following these procedures:
Procedure 1: Changing the LCD Contrast setting
Procedure 2: Changing the Backlight Brightness setting
Procedure1: Changing the LCD Contrast setting
*If your Brother machine has a touchscreen, please follow the steps under "For Touchscreen models" below.
- Press Menu.
- Press the UP OR DOWN ARROW key to choose General Setup. Press OK.
- Press the UP OR DOWN ARROW to choose LCD Settings. Press OK.
- Press the UP OR DOWN ARROW to choose LCD Contrast. Press OK.
- Press the LEFT ARROW key to increase the contrast or press RIGHT ARROW key to decrease the contrast. Press OK.
- Press Stop/Exit.
<For Touchscreen models>
- Press Menu.
- Press the UP OR DOWN ARROW key to display General Setup.
- Press General Setup.
- Press the UP OR DOWN ARROW key to display LCD Settings.
- Press LCD Settings.
- Press the UP OR DOWN ARROW key to display LCD Contrast.
- Press LCD Contrast.
- Press the LEFT ARROW key to increase the contrast and press the RIGHT ARROW key to decrease the contrast. Press OK.
- Press Stop/Exit.
Procedure 2: Changing the Backlight Brightness setting
*If your Brother machine has a touchscreen, please follow the steps under "For Touchscreen models" below.
- Press Menu.
- Press the UP OR DOWN ARROW key to choose General Setup. Press OK.
- Press the UP OR DOWN ARROW key to choose LCD Settings. Press OK.
- Press the UP OR DOWN ARROW key to choose Backlight. Press OK.
- Press the UP OR DOWN ARROW key to choose Light, Med or Dark. Press OK.
- Press Stop/Exit.
<For Touchscreen models>
- Press Menu.
- Press the UP OR DOWN ARROW key to display General Setup.
- Press General Setup.
- Press the UP OR DOWN ARROW key to display LCD Settings.
- Press LCD Settings.
- Press the UP OR DOWN ARROW key to display Backlight.
- Press Backlight.
- Press the UP OR DOWN ARROW key to display the option you want. (This step might be skipped in some models.)
- Press Light, Med or Dark.
- Press Stop/Exit.
