I'm having trouble reading the information on my Brother machine's LCD. How can I adjust the LCD's contrast and brightness?
If you are having difficulty reading the Brother machine's LCD, you can adjust its contrast and brightness by following these procedures:
Procedure 1: Changing the LCD Contrast setting
Procedure 2: Changing the Backlight Brightness setting
(This option may not appear depending on the model of your Brother machine.)
Procedure1: Changing the LCD Contrast setting
- Press Menu.
- Press the Up or Down Arrow key to choose General Setup.
- Press OK. (For touchscreen models, skip this step.)
- Press the Up or Down Arrow key to choose LCD Settings.
- Press OK. (For touchscreen models, skip this step.)
- Choose LCD Contrast and then choose Light, Med, or Dark.
- Press OK. (For touchscreen models, skip this step.)
- Press Stop/Exit.
Procedure 2: Changing the Backlight Brightness setting
(This option may not appear depending on the model of your Brother machine.)
- Press Menu.
- Press the Up or Down Arrow key to choose General Setup.
- Press OK. (For touchscreen models, skip this step.)
- Press the Up or Down Arrow key to choose LCD Settings.
- Press OK. (For touchscreen models, skip this step.)
- Choose Backlight.
- Do one of the following (The menu varies on your model.):
- Choose Light, Med, or Dark.
- Press the Left Arrow key to make the backlight darker or press the Right Arrow key to make the backlight lighter.
- Press OK. (For touch screen models, skip this step.)
- Press Stop/Exit.
