I cannot print from Mac OS X.

In order to correct this problem, uninstall the printer driver packages installed for printers you do not use on your system. Macintosh® OS X comes pre-installed with other packages automatically. This can sometimes cause conflicts and are not generally needed.

In order to remove the packages, you will need to begin by opening the hard drive that contains the OS X system software or the Root folder. Normally double-clicking on the Macintosh Hard Drive icon will open automatically to the Root folder.

  1. Double-click on the Library folder.

  2. Double-click on the Printers folder.

  3. Select and delete the folders for Epson, Cannon and HP.

Do not delete any other items from this folder since it may effect operation of other items that are connected to the computer.

  4. Empty the trash.

The other software is removed from the system. You should re-select the Brother unit from the Print Center and try printing.
