I'm using Mac OSR X. I cannot locate my Brother machine from "Printer Setup Utility" or the web browser (Safari). Why?

Resetting the network settings will resolve this issue. We recommend that you print a configuration page before resetting it.


To print the current network settings follow the steps listed below:

  1. Press Reports, Ink/Reports or Ink Management/Reports key on the control panel.
  2. Press up or down navigation key until Network Cofig appears and press  Menu/Set.
  3. The current network settings will be printed.

To reset the network settings follow the steps listed below:

  1. Press Menu/Set key on the control panel.
  2. Press up or down navigation key until LAN appears and press Menu/Set.
  3. Press up or down navigation key until Factory Reset appears and press Menu/Set.
  4. Now the network settings were reset and the issue was resolved. Please set the network configuration again referring to the network configuration page you printed.
