How do I store received faxes into memory? (Fax Storage)

You can store incoming faxes in your Brother machine's memory by enabling the Fax Storage feature. With Fax Storage enabled, all incoming faxes will be stored in your Brother machine's memory, but your Brother machine also automatically prints faxes as they are received. This is a precautionary feature that ensures you will not lose your messages in the event of a power failure. The LCD will indicate when you have a fax stored in memory.

TURNING FAX STORAGE ON
To enable the Fax Storage feature, please follow these steps:

  1. Press Menu.
  2. Press the UP OR DOWN ARROW key to select "Fax" and press OK.
  3. Press the UP OR DOWN ARROW key to select "Remote Fax Opt" and press OK
  4. Press the UP OR DOWN ARROW key to select "Fwd/ Page/ Store or Forward/ Store" and press OK.
  5. Press the UP OR DOWN ARROW key to choose "Fax Storage" and press OK.
  6. Press STOP/ EXIT.

If you turn Fax Storage on, your Brother machine will not be able to receive color faxes unless the sending machine converts them to black and white.
