Configure the boot method through the front panel of my Brother machine.

Follow the steps below to configure the boot method.


  1. Press Menu.

  2. Press the Up or Down arrow key to choose Network and press OK.

  3. Press the Up or Down arrow key to choose Wired LAN or WLAN and press OK.

  4. Press the Up or Down arrow key to choose TCP/IP and press OK.

  5. Press the Up or Down arrow key to choose Boot Method and press OK.

  6. Press the Up or Down arrow key to choose Auto, Static, RARP, BOOTP or DHCP and then press OK.

  7. For all selections, except Static, you will be asked to specify the number of times the machine tries to obtain an IP address - IP Boot Tries. The default is 3. Press OK.

  8. Press Stop/Exit.
