Check the firmware version.

Follow the steps below to check the firmware version.


  1. Do one of the following:
    • (Windows)
      Click Start(Start) > All Programs > Brother > [model name] > Remote Setup.
    • (Mac)
      In the Finder menu bar, click Go > ApplicationsBrother > ([model name]), and then double-click the Remote Setup icon.
  2. Select your model name in the Discover Devices dialog box, and then click Connect.
    The Remote Setup Program window appears.
  3. Click the Machine Info menu in the left navigation pane and check the firmware version.
    The letter next to Main Version represents the firmware version.
