I configured the "IP Config" method of the machine to "Auto" to assign an IP address automatically, however it was changed to "Static" unexpectedly. I get an error message that indicates IP address is not unique, or a document is printed out by the machine I didn't expected.

When wireless network connection is unstable and the APIPA protocol is enabled, you might experience this difficulty.

Follow these steps below to set the BOOT method back to AUTO and disable the APIPA protocol.


  1. Press Settings(Settings).

  2. Press All Settings.

  3. Press the Up or Down arrow to display Network. (This step might be skipped in some models.)

  4. Press Network.

  5. Press the Up or Down arrow to display WLAN. (This step might be skipped in some models.)

  6. Press WLAN.

  7. Press the Up or Down arrow to display TCP/IP. (This step might be skipped in some models.)

  8. Press TCP/IP.

  9. Press the Up or Down arrow to display BOOT Method. (This step might be skipped in some models.)

  10. Press BOOT Method.

  11. Press the Up or Down arrow to display Auto. (This step might be skipped in some models.)

  12. Press Auto.

  13. Press the Up or Down arrow to display APIPA. Press APIPA.

  14. Press Off.

  15. Press Home(Home).
