Please choose your Operating System and follow the appropriate steps to clean the scanner.

NOTE: Illustrations shown below are for representation purposes and may differ from your Brother machine.

• For Mac OS X 10.6 -10.10 users
   
• For Mac OS X 10.5 users
   
• For Mac OS X 10.4 users

For Mac OS X 10.6 -10.10 users:

1. Run the PageManager® 9 application. (Choose Go => Application => Presto! PageManager 9 BR.)
    
2. Click File => Select Source or Import From Scanner.
    
3. Choose your model and click Select.
    
   

    

4. Click Acquire.
    
   

    

5. Click Calibrate.
    
   

    

6. Insert the Cleaning Sheet into the machine.

7. Click Clean.
   The cleaning paper will move back and forth in the scanner and will be ejected.
    
   

    

8. Click the Cancel to finish.
    
   

For Mac OS X 10.5 users:

1. Run the Image Capture application. (Choose Go => Application => Image Capture.)
    
2. Close the DSmobile yyyy window (yyyy = your model name).
    
3. Click Device => Browse Devices.
    
   

    

4. The Image Capture Device Browser will appear.
   Click Use TWAIN UI to the right of DSmobile yyyy (yyyy=your model name).
    
   

    

5. Click Scan.
    
   

    

6. Click Calibrate.
    
   

    

7. Insert the Cleaning Sheet into the machine.

8. Click Clean.
   The cleaning paper will move back and forth in the scanner and will be ejected.
    
   

    

9. Click the Cancel to finish.
    
   

For Mac OS X 10.4 users:

1. Run the Image Capture application. (Choose Go => Application => Image Capture.)
    
2. Close the DSmobile yyyy window (yyyy = your model name).
    
3. Click Device => Browse Devices.
    
   

    

4. The Image Capture Device Browser will appear.
   Click DSmobile yyyy (yyyy=your model name).
    
5. Check the Use TWAIN software box at the bottom of the window.
    
6. Click OK.
    
   

    

7. Click Devices => DSmobile yyyy (yyyy = your model name).
    
8. In the DSmobile yyyy (yyyy = your model name), click Scan.
    
9. Click Calibrate.
    
10. Insert the Cleaning Sheet into the machine.

11. Click Clean.
    The cleaning paper will move back and forth in the scanner and will be ejected.
     
12. Click the Cancel to finish.
