How to use the Text Label function

This function allows you to create various labels using the built-in templates.

These templates are available when using 12 mm / 0.47″ wide tape cassettes.

To use the Text Label function, follow the steps below:

  1. Press the [Menu] key.
     
  2. Press the Cursor key ( Cursor keys ) to select [Decorative].
     
  3. Press the [OK] key.
    [Select Category] is displayed.
     
  4. Press the Cursor key to select [Text].
     
  5. Press the [OK] key.
    [Select Design] is displayed.
     
  6. Press the Cursor key ( Cursor keys ) until Text template 03 display appears.
     
  7. Press the [OK] key.
    [Input Text] is displayed.
     
  8. Clear the text and then enter the text to be printed.
    • You cannot set the Font, Size, Style and Frame while entering texts.
    • To clear the text, move the cursor to the right side where you wish to clear, and then press the Backspace key ( Backspace key - US / Backspace key - EU ).
    • To clear all text, press the [Clear] key ( Clear key - US / Clear key - EU ). “All Clear” appears.
      Press the [OK] key to clear or the Escape key ( Escape key ) to cancel.
  9. Press the [OK] key.
    [Set Label Length] is displayed.
     
  10. Press the Cursor key or the number keys to select your desired label length from [Auto] or 30 – 999 mm (1.2″ - 39.0″).
    • Press the Space key to return to the initial setting for “Label Length” mode. The initial setting is [Auto].
    • If you set the longer label length than the default ([Auto]), the text label is printed repeatedly within the set length. The text label may not be fully printed depending on the set length.
    • The available label length setting changes depending on the number of texts you entered.
  11. Press the [OK] key.
    [Print] is displayed.

    To preview labels, press the [Preview] key ( Preview key - US / Preview key - EU ) when [Print] is displayed on the LCD.

  12. Press the [OK] key.
    [Copies:] is displayed.

  13. Press the Cursor key or the number keys to specify the number of copies within the range of 1 – 9.
     
  14. Press the [OK] key.
  • To exit templates and return to the text input screen, do one of following:
    1. Press the Escape key ( Escape key ).
    2. Press the Cursor key to select [Exit], and then press the [OK] key when [Print] appears.
  • You cannot save labels created using templates to memory.
  • You cannot edit the templates.
  • When you access Text Label templates, your most recently printed Text Label template label length is recalled.
