FAQs & Troubleshooting

The scanner beeps every time I scan, some of its LEDs are continuously on, or the scheduled maintenance alert appears on the LCD.

All product images are shown for illustrative purposes only and may differ from the actual machine.

Check if your machine requires scheduled maintenance:

  • ADS-2400N and ADS-3000N
    The following LEDs are lit:
    LED Alert

  • ADS-2800W and ADS-3600W
The Scheduled Maintenance alert appears on the LCD.

The machine will require scheduled maintenance if the Pick Up Roller has been used 5,000 times. Clean your Brother machine promptly, and then reset the scheduled maintenance counter in the ControlCenter application. If you continue to use the machine without cleaning, document jams, multifeeds, and misfeeds may occur.

  1. > Clean the pick up roller and reverse roller.
  2. > Reset the scheduled maintenance counter in the ControlCenter application.
