FAQs & Troubleshooting

Recently, when I print a document from the manual feed slot, my Brother machine is taking more time than usual to start feeding paper. How can I reduce the time it takes to start feeding paper?

This issue may occur if you continue to print after the LCD, LED or the status monitor shows one of the following messages:

  • Replace Drum
  • Drum Near End
  • Drum Life End Soon

NOTE: The LED indications and the message displayed on the LCD or on the status monitor differ depending on the model being used.

If you are continuing to print after one of the messages above appears, in order to resolve the issue, replace the drum unit with a new drum. Click here for instructions on how to replace the drum unit.
>For the order number (Order No.) of the drum unit, please click here to see the Consumables & Options page.

If none of the messages above has appeared, the issue will be solved after the machine prints several pages.
