• Check the version of Windows
• Check the system type of Windows, 32-bit or 64-bit

 

Check the version of Windows

 

1. Hold down the (Windows) key on the keyboard and type R key. Or click Start => Run.
2. Type "winver" in the empty field. Then, click OK.
   

    

3. Check the version of Windows. That is the operating system (OS) you are using.

1. Click (Start) => Settings.
2. Click System.

1. On the Desktop screen, move your cursor to the upper or lower right corner of your Desktop screen. The menu bar will appear.
   NOTE: If the Start screen is on your computer screen, click desktop tile on the Start screen.
2. Click Settings.
   

    

3. Click PC info.
   

    

4. The System screen will appear, check the System type. This is the version that is displayed as your system type.
