How do I disable the APIPA protocol?

Setting APIPA Off means the IP address doesn't change, when the print server cannot obtain an IP address through the BOOT Method you have set. To disable the APIPA protocol follow the instructions below:


  1. Press the Menu/Set key on the control panel.

  2. Press up or down navigation key until LAN appears and press Menu/Set.

  3. Press up or down navigation key until Setup TCP/IP appears and press Menu/Set.

  4. Press up or down navigation key until APIPA appears and press Menu/Set.

  5. Press up or down navigation key to select Off and press Menu/Set.

  6. Press Menu/Set.
  7. Press Stop/Exit.
