How do I type symbols?

To type symbols,

 

  1. Press the [Symbol] key ( Symbol key - US ) and select [History], [Basic] or [Pictograph] with the [Cursor] key ( Cursor keys ), then press the [OK] key ( OK key ).
     
  2. Press the [Cursor] key ( Cursor keys ) until the desired category appears, then press the [OK] key ( OK key ).
     
  3. Press the [Cursor] key ( Cursor keys ) until the cursor comes to your desired symbol.
     
  4. Press the [OK] key ( OK keys ) and the symbol is added to the text.
  • To cancel operations, press the [Escape] key ( Escape key ).
  • Once you select symbols, up to seven recently used symbols are added to [History].
  • If you choose [History], you cannot select the category.
  • You can also select from basic and pictograph categories by pressing the shortcut keys shown below.
