Scan a document and save the scanned image to a folder on a local or network hard disk using the SCAN button on my Brother machine
You can scan a document and save the scanned image to a preferred folder by pressing the SCAN button on the control panel of your Brother machine.
- Load your document.
- Press SCAN.
- Press the UP OR DOWN ARROW key to choose Scan to File.
- Press OK.
- (For network users)
- Press the UP OR DOWN ARROW key to choose the destination computer you want to send to.
Note:
If the computer is not displayed, see the Related FAQ's to solve the issue at the end of the page.
- Press OK.
- If the LCD prompts you to enter a PIN, enter the 4-digit PIN for the destination computer on the LCD. Press OK.
- Press the UP OR DOWN ARROW key to choose the destination computer you want to send to.
- Do one of the following:
- If you want to use the default setting, press the UP OR DOWN ARROW key to choose Off for Set Options.
Press OK, and then go to Step 9.
- If you want to change the default settings, go to Step 7.
- If you want to use the default setting, press the UP OR DOWN ARROW key to choose Off for Set Options.
- Press the UP OR DOWN ARROW key to choose On for Set Options, and then press OK.
To use Set Options, the ControlCenter software must be installed on a computer that is connected to the machine.
- The machine will prompt you to set each of the following scan settings.
Press the UP OR DOWN ARROW key to select the desired option, and then press OK to proceed to the next scan setting.
- Scan Type
- Resolution
- File Type
- Scan Size
- Remove Bkg. Clr
- Scan Type
- Press Black (Mono) Start or Color (Colour) Start.
