Updating my machine's firmware using the "Firmware Update" menu or Brother iPrint&Scan results in an error.

  1. Make sure your machine is connected to a network with an Internet access.
  2. If your network uses a proxy server, tap Proxy and configure the proxy server settings of your Brother machine. If you do not know the settings, contact your network administrator or the Internet service provider.
  3. Try to update the firmware to the latest version using your computer.
