Printer does not recognize the HDD/Compact Flash.

Make sure of the following points:


  • If you are using the HD-6G/EX, make sure that the HDD cable is connected correctly and that you are using the appropriate cable.
  • Make sure that the HDD/Compact Flash is installed correctly.
  • Make sure that the installed HDD/Compact Flash is formatted correctly.

To format the compact Flash or HDD correctly, follow these steps:

  1. Press the '+' or '-' keys until 'SETUP' is displayed.
  2. Press the 'SET' button.
  3. Press the '+' key until 'DELETE STORAGE' is displayed.
  4. Press the 'SET' button.
  5. Press the '+' key until 'FORMAT(CF)' is displayed (if you are using a HDD select the HDD option 'FORMAT(HD)')
  6. Press the 'SET' button
  7. Press 'SET' to acknowledge the 'OK?'.
  8. The Compact Flash or HDD memory will now be formatted.

Turn off the printer. Wait a few seconds, and then turn it on again.

 

If this error message appears again, replace the HDD/Compact Flash with a new one.
