Print free-length labels with the set length (Linux®)

To print free-length labels with the set length, add a label format using the brpapertoollpr tool in the terminal. This tool is installed and saved in the \usr\bin directory when you install the driver.

 

Adding label formats

For PT-P950NW: Use brpapertoollpr_ptp950
For PT-P900W:    Use brpapertoollpr_ptp900

Run the following command:

brpapertoollpr_ptp950 [-P printer name] [-n label format name] [-w label width(mm)] [-h label height(mm)]

  

Options:

-P   Printer name (For example: PT-P950)
-n   New label format name
-w   Label width (in mm)
-h   Label height (in mm)
 

Example:
brpapertoollpr_ptp950 -P PT-P950 -n HS12mm×50mm -w 12 -h 50
 

When using Brother heat shrink tape, include "hs" or "HS" as the label format name.
  
 

Deleting label formats

For PT-P950NW:  Use brpapertoollpr_ptp950
For PT-P900W:     Use brpapertoollpr_ptp900

Run the following command:
brpapertoollpr_ptp950 [-P printer name] [-d label format name]

  
Example:
brpapertoollpr_ptp950 -P PT-P950 -d HS12mm×50mm
