What is the default password for my Brother network card, BRAdmin, Remote Setup or Web Based Management?
The default login password to manage machine settings is either:

"initpass"
OR -
the password located on the back or bottom of the machine preceded by "Pwd"

- If there is no label preceded by "Pwd", the default password is "initpass".
Depending on your model, you may also check the default password by printing the Network Configuration Report.
We strongly recommend changing the default login password in order to protect your machine from unauthorised access, and to make the following features and software more secure:
- Web Based Management
- BRAdmin Light / BRAdmin Professional
- Remote Setup (via a network only)
- Firmware Update Tool
If you've created a custom password for your Brother machine's settings, and you've forgotten the password, you'll have to reset the network settings to factory default to regain access to these settings. We cannot help you recover a lost password.
(For wireless network connection user)
If your Brother machine is connected to the wireless network and you reset the network settings to factory default, you must reconnect your Brother machine to the wireless network again.
To change the password:
- Start your web browser.

Type "http://machine's IP address" in your browser's address bar (where "machine's IP address" is the IP address of the machine or the print server name).
For example: http://192.168.1.2 - In the Login field, type the default login password.

Click the Administrator tab.
*If you do not find the Administrator tab, click Login Password. -
In the Enter New Password field, type the password you want to use.
If necessary, please write down the password and store it in a secure place. - In the Confirm New Password field, retype the new password.
- Click Submit.
