FAQs & Troubleshooting

How do I set up a group for broadcasting faxes?

  • Groups allow you to send the same fax message to multiple numbers using a process called broadcasting. You can store the Groups on your One-Touch keys or Speed Dial locations, and then broadcast by pressing only one One-Touch key or Search/Speed Dial, #, the three-digit Speed-Dial location, and Black(Mono) Start.
  • You will need to store each fax number you wish to include in your Group as either a One-Touch or Speed Dial number. You can combine these numbers into a group. You can have up to eight Groups, or you can assign up to 219 numbers to one large Group. Each Group uses one One-Touch key or Speed Dial location.
  • To set up a Group, please follow these steps:

  1. Press Menu/Set, 2 (Fax), 3 (Set Quick-Dial), 3 (Setup Groups).

  2. Press the One-Touch key on which you wish to store the Group and go to STEP 3 or press Search/Speed Dial followed by the three-digit Speed Dial location where you wish to store the Group and the Menu/Set key.

  3. The LCD will read "SETUP GROUP: G0 ENTER & SET".
  4. Use the dial pad to assign a number to the Group (1 to 8), and then press Menu/Set to confirm your choice (for example, press 1 to designate Group 1).

  5. To include One-Touch and Speed Dial numbers in the group, enter them as if you were dialing. Enter the numbers you wish to place in this Group one after the other.

    • To enter a One-Touch location, simply press the One-Touch key that the number is stored on. For example, if you enter One-Touch key 3, the LCD will read "*03".
    • To enter a Speed Dial location, press Search/Speed Dial, then the three-digit location where the number is stored. For example, if you enter Speed Dial location 09, the LCD will read "#009".
  6. When you have entered every number you wish to store in the Group, press the Menu/Set key to accept the numbers you have entered. The LCD will read "NAME: ENTER & SET".

  7. Use the dial pad to enter a name for the Group, and then press Menu/Set to confirm your choice.

  8. Press Stop/Exit to exit the menu.

You can print a list of all the One-Touch and Speed Dial numbers you have stored on your machine. The Quick-Dial list provides the names and numbers stored in One-Touch and Speed Dial memory in numerical order. On this list, Group numbers will be marked in the "GROUP" column.

To print the Quick-Dial list, simply press 5 (Print Reports), 3 (Quick-Dial).
