FAQs & Troubleshooting

When scanning a letter-size document, the edge of the document is not scanned.

You may experience this problem when scanning using the TWAIN driver. 

A patch file is available that will resolve this problem. To download and install the patch, please follow the instructions listed below.


Windows 2000/XP Users; must log on as Administrator.

  1. Close the Scanner Setup dialog box
  2. Click here to start downloading the patch file.
  3. Save the downloaded file to your Desktop.
  4. Double click ALFB_SCN.exe and extract its contents.
  5. On your Desktop, double click BrRepairALini.exe. This is the patch tool.
  6. Click OK when complete.
