How do I connect the printer to my mobile device via Wi-Fi® ?

To print, you must download and install an application from the App Store or Google Play™.
The following application is available.

This application allows you to create and print labels from templates, using a mobile device.

 

Connect your printer to a mobile device using Wireless Direct.
Using this method, the printer serves as a wireless network access point.

 

Connect your printer as follows:

 

  1. Confirm the Wireless Direct settings of the printer, and then connect the printer to your computer using a USB Cable.
    • For Windows
      1. Launch the Printer Setting Tool on your computer.
      2. Click the [Communication Settings] button.
      3. Click the [Communication Settings] in the General tab.
      4. Confirm that Infrastructure and Wireless Direct or Wireless Direct is selected for Selected Interface.
        If not, select Infrastructure and Wireless Direct or Wireless Direct and click the [Apply] button.
    • For Mac
      1. Launch the Printer Setting Tool on your computer.
      2. Click the [Communication Settings] button.
      3. Click the Wireless LAN tab.
      4. Confirm that Wireless Direct is set to On.
  2. Press and hold the [Wi-Fi ( Wi-Fi Button )] Button on the printer for one second to turn the Wi-Fi function On.
    The Wi-Fi LED starts flashing green at three-second intervals.

  3. In your mobile device's Wi-Fi settings screen, select your wireless network's SSID, and then the SSID of the printer and enter the password.
    • The factory default SSID and password are as follows:
      SSID: "DIRECT-*****_QL-1110NWB" where ***** is the last five digits of the product serial number.
      (You can find the product serial number label in the DK Roll Compartment of the printer.)
      The password: 111***** where ***** is the last five digits of the product serial number.
    • You can also connect the printer to a mobile device in the Infrastructure Mode via a wireless access point/router.
