How do I set cut options and what features are there?

  1. Press the Style key ( StyleStyle ) to display the Label menu.
     
  2. Press Up or Down to display Cut Option, and then press Left or Right to select the option you want.
     
  3. Press the OK key to apply the settings.
    * New settings are NOT applied if you do not press the OK key. 
     

<Cut Option features>

Small Margin

A margin of 23 mm (0.9") is fed first, and then each label is printed, leaving a margin of 2 mm (0.08") before and after the text.
 

When each label length is approximately 23 mm (0.9") or more

Small Margin Example1

b. 2 mm (0.08")

 

When each label length is approximately 23 mm (0.9") or less

Chain

  • Use this setting when printing several labels with minimum margins.
  • A margin of 23 mm (0.9") is printed first, and then each label is printed, leaving a margin of 2 mm (0.08") before and after the text.
  • Feed the tape before using the Tape Cutter, otherwise part of the text may get cut off. Do not try to pull the tape as this may damage the Tape Cassette.

    Chain Example
    a. Approximately 23 mm (0.9")
    b. 2 mm (0.08")
    c. Tape Stop Position

No Cut

  • Use this setting when printing multiple copies of a label or when using Heat Shrink Tube or any other tapes that cannot be cut using the Tape Cutter and instead must be cut with scissors.
  • When using any tapes that cannot be cut using the Tape Cutter, remove the Tape Cassette, and use scissors to cut the tape.
  • Feed the tape before using the Tape Cutter, otherwise part of the text may get cut off. Do not try to pull the tape as this may damage the Tape Cassette.

    No Cut Example
    a. Approximately 23 mm (0.9")

    c. Tape Stop Position

Large Margin

The total margin (laminate margin + label margin) is 25 mm (0.98") on either side of the label.

b. 2 mm (0.08")

 

Special Tape

  • Use this setting when using any special tape.
  • When using Fabric Iron-On Tapes or Heat Shrink Tube, select Special Tape in the Cut Option before printing. After printing, remove the Tape Cassette, and use scissors to cut the tape.

    a. Approximately 23 mm (0.9")
    b. 2 mm (0.08")
