FAQs & Troubleshooting

Sometimes I insert a memory card or floppy disk, I touch the appropriate icon and the SG3000 screen blanks out then turns back on. Sometimes the designs come up, but when I choose a design, the screen blanks out.

  • The SUPER GALAXIE 3000 is very sensitive to stitch data. If a design is not properly digitized, or if important portions of the design's stitch data are missing or corrupted, the machine will re-set itself.
  1. Run the design through the PE-Design software if possible and examine it.
  2. If another machine, such as the SUPER GALAXIE 2100, is available, send the design to a card and place it in the embroidery machine.
  3. Often the machines cannot display the colour name of the corrupt portion or a design and that will be an indication to you.
  • Additionally, if there is too much data on the disk, the machine cannot process it all at one time.
  1. If you suspect there is too much data on the disk for the machine to read, place just a few of the designs onto a different floppy disk and try again.

Remember that the origin of a design may be an important issue. You have no real knowledge of the integrity of a design downloaded free from the Internet, and even designs that you purchase from a novice digitizer can have problems
