Change or delete an existing One Touch or Speed Dial number.

To change or delete an existing One Touch number, go to SECTION A: CHANGING OR DELETING ONE TOUCH NAMES OR NUMBERS.
- To change or delete an existing Speed Dial number, go to SECTION B: CHANGING OR DELETING SPEED DIAL NAMES OR NUMBERS.
SECTION A: CHANGING OR DELETING ONE TOUCH NAMES OR NUMBERS
You can change or delete an existing One Touch number by following these steps:

Press Menu.
-
Press the Up or Down arrow key to choose Fax and press OK.

Press the Up or Down arrow key to choose Set Quick Dial and press OK.
-
Press the Up or Down arrow key to choose One Touch Dial and press OK.
-
Press the One Touch key with the number you want to change or delete.
- To access One Touch numbers 5 through 8, hold down Shift and press the appropriate One Touch key.
- Your Brother machine's LCD will display the name or number stored at that One Touch location with the message "1. Change 2. Exit".

Press 1.

Do one of the following to change or delete the currently stored number:
NOTE: If you want to keep the current number, go to STEP 8.

To replace characters, follow these steps:
-
Press the Left or Right arrow key to position the cursor under the character you want to replace.
-
Press Clear/Back to delete the existing character.
- Use the dial pad to type a new character.
-
Press the Left or Right arrow key to position the cursor under the character you want to replace.
-
To insert characters, follow these steps:
-
Press the Left or Right arrow key to position the cursor under the position at which you want to insert a character.
- Type the character you want to insert.
-
Press the Left or Right arrow key to position the cursor under the position at which you want to insert a character.

To delete characters, follow these steps:
-
Press the Left or Right arrow key to position the cursor under the character you want to delete.
- Press Clear/Back to delete the character.
-
Press the Left or Right arrow key to position the cursor under the character you want to delete.
-
To delete the entire number, follow these steps:
-
Repeatedly press Clear/Back until you have erased all the numbers.
- Go to STEP 12.
-
Repeatedly press Clear/Back until you have erased all the numbers.

To replace characters, follow these steps:
-
Press OK.

Do one of the following to change or delete the currently stored name:
NOTE: If you want to keep the current name, go to STEP 10.

To replace characters, follow these steps:

Press the Left or Right arrow key to position the cursor under the character you want to replace.

Press Clear/Back to delete the existing character.
- Use the dial pad to type a new character.

Press the Left or Right arrow key to position the cursor under the character you want to replace.

To insert characters, follow these steps:

Press the Left or Right arrow key to position the cursor under the position at which you want to insert a character.
- Use the dial pad to type the character you want to insert.

Press the Left or Right arrow key to position the cursor under the position at which you want to insert a character.

To delete characters, follow these steps:
-
Press the Left or Right arrow key to position the cursor under the character you want to delete.
- Press Clear/Back to delete the character.

Press the Left or Right arrow key to position the cursor under the character you want to delete.

To delete the entire name, follow these steps:
-
Repeatedly press Clear/Back until you have erased all the letters.
- Go to STEP 10.
-
Repeatedly press Clear/Back until you have erased all the letters.
- If no name exists and you want to store the number without a name, go to STEP 10.

To replace characters, follow these steps:
-
Press OK.

Do one of the following:
-
If you do not want to change the default fax resolution setting, go to STEP 12.
- If you want to save a fax resolution with the number, press the Up or Down arrow key to choose Std., Fine, S. Fine, or Photo.

If you do not want to change the default fax resolution setting, go to STEP 12.

Press OK.

Do one of the following:
-
To change or delete another One Touch number, repeat STEPS 5 through 12.
- To finish changing or deleting one touch names or numbers, press Stop/Exit.

To change or delete another One Touch number, repeat STEPS 5 through 12.
SECTION B: CHANGING OR DELETING SPEED DIAL NAMES OR NUMBERS
You can change or delete an existing Speed Dial number by following these steps:

Press Menu.
-
Press the Up or Down arrow key to choose Fax and press OK.

Press the Up or Down arrow key to choose Set Quick Dial and press OK.
-
Press the Up or Down arrow key to choose Speed Dial and press OK.
-
Use the dial pad to enter the three-digit Speed Dial location with the number you want to change or delete.
-
Press OK.
Your Brother machine's LCD will display the name or number stored at that Speed Dial location with the message "1. Change 2. Exit".

Press 1.

Do one of the following to change or delete the currently stored number:
NOTE: If you want to keep the current number, go to STEP 9.

To replace characters, follow these steps:

Press the Left or Right arrow key to position the cursor under the character you want to replace.

Press Clear/Back to delete the existing character.
- Use the dial pad to type a new character.
