FAQs & Troubleshooting |
When trying to print from Mac OS X the print queue is stopped.
If you are trying to print and you get a message that the Print Queue is stopped, you will need to reactivate the queue to continue.
This is actually a feature of the Print Center or Printer Setup Utility application which allows you to pause print jobs for later printing or batch printing.
Please follow the instructions listed below.
-
Open the Print Center or Printer Setup Utility application located in the utilities folder.
(Macintosh HD -> Applications -> Utilities)
-
Double-click on the Print Center or Printer Setup Utility icon to open the application.
- Click on the Printer menu and select the Start Jobs or Start Queue option from the listed items.
Depending on the version of Mac OS X you are using, there may be different menu items and the appearance may vary, even though the functionality remains constant.
-
Double-click the printer name from the main application window in the "Printer List".
-
Another window will then open and you will see a button that will start the jobs. This button may indicate "Stopped" or "Start Jobs".
Click the button to begin to print again.
