Reset the network settings to the factory default

You can reset the print server back to its default factory settings (resetting all information such as the password and IP address information) using the control panel as follows.
*If your Brother machine has a touchscreen, please follow the steps under "For touchscreen models" below.

 

This function resets all wired and wireless network settings to the factory default.

 
  1. Make sure the machine is not operating, then disconnect all the cables from the machine (except the power cord).
  2. Press Menu.
  3. Press the Up or Down Arrow key to choose Network. Press OK.
  4. Press the Up or Down Arrow key to choose Network Reset. Press OK.
  5. Press 1 to choose Reset.
  6. Press 1 to choose Yes for reboot.
  7. The machine will re-start, re-connect cables once this is complete.

 

<For touchscreen models>

  1. Make sure the machine is not operating, then disconnect all the cables from the machine (except the power cord).
  2. Press MENU on the LCD screen.
  3. Press Network.
  4. Press the Up or Down Arrow key to display Network Reset and then press Network Reset.
  5. Press Yes.
  6. Press Yes for 2 seconds to confirm.
  7. The machine will re-start, re-connect cables once this is complete.
