How can I connect my mobile device to the printer via Bluetooth®? (P-touch Design&Print / Design&Print 2)
Turn on the Bluetooth setting of your mobile device, and then select the printer on the mobile application.
Follow the instructions below:
Preparation
For Apple devices: Swipe up from the bottom of the screen (for iPhone X users, swipe down from the top of screen), and then turn on Bluetooth.
For Android™ OS 4.4 or earlier (Not available for Design&Print 2): Turn the Bluetooth setting on, and then select the printer.
- To confirm the Android™ version, see Settings --> Device information --> Android™ version.
- The printer to connect to is PT-[model name][the last four digits of the printer's serial number]. (Alternatively, you can find your machine number on the sticker below the Power Button). The unit's serial number is located where the Tape Cassette is set inside the Cassette Cover.
- If the PIN code is required, enter "0000".
- If the printer to connect to is not displayed, tap the refresh button.
When using the app's initial guidance to connect
- Make sure the printer is on.
- Download the application.
- Start the application.
- The initial guidance starts.
- Tap [Connect Now].
- Follow the on-screen instructions.
- The printer to connect to is PT-[model name][the last four digits of the printer's serial number]. (Alternatively, you can find your machine number on the sticker below the Power Button). The unit's serial number is located where the Tape Cassette is set inside the Cassette Cover.
- If the PIN code is required, enter "0000".
- If the printer to connect to is not displayed, tap the refresh button.
When you did not use the app's initial guidance
- Make sure the printer is on.
- Download the application.
- Start the application.
- The message "Confirm your P-touch connection/ Please select your P-touch" appears in the upper-right corner of the application's editing screen. Tap it.
- Follow the on-screen instructions to select the printer.
