How do I adjust the settings of the ring volume, beeper volume and speaker volume on my Brother machine?

Your Brother machine has three adjustable volume settings: Ring Volume, Beeper Volume, and Speaker Volume. Please follow steps below:


CHANGING RING VOLUME

You can change your Brother machine's Ring Volume by following steps:
*If your Brother machine has a touchscreen, please follow the steps of "For Touchscreen models" below.

CHANGING RING VOLUME FROM THE MENU
  1. Press the MENU key.

  2. Press the UP OR DOWN ARROW key to select General Setup.

  3. Press the OK key.

  4. Press the UP OR DOWN ARROW key to select Volume.

  5. Press the OK key.

  6. Press the UP OR DOWN ARROW key to select a Ring Volume setting.

    • You can select Low, Med., High, or Off.

  7. Press the OK key.

  8. Press the STOP/EXIT key.
CHANGING RING VOLUME WHILE YOUR BROTHER MACHINE IS IDLE

You can adjust the Ring Volume setting while your Brother machine is idle by pressing the LEFT OR RIGHT ARROW key.
  • With each key press, the Brother machine rings so you can hear the current setting.

  • Each key press changes the volume to the next setting, and the LCD displays the setting you are choosing.

  • The new setting will remain active until you change it again.
CHANGING RING VOLUME FROM THE MENU
<For Touchscreen models>
  1. Press MENU.

  2. Press the UP OR DOWN ARROW key to display General Setup.

  3. Press General Setup.

  4. Press the UP OR DOWN ARROW key to display Volume.

  5. Press Volume.

  6. Press Ring.

  7. Press Low, Med, High or Off.

  8. Press STOP/ EXIT.
CHANGING BEEPER VOLUME

You can set your Brother machine's Beeper Volume to Low, Medium, High, or Off. When the Beeper Volume is set to Low, Medium, or High, your Brother machine beeps every time you press a key or make an error and at the end of the sending and receiving processes.
To Change your Brother machine's Beeper Volume, follow these steps:
*If your Brother machine has a touchscreen, please follow the steps of "For Touchscreen models" below.
  1. Press the MENU key.

  2. Press the UP OR DOWN ARROW key to select General Setup.

  3. Press the OK key.

  4. Press the UP OR DOWN ARROW key to select Volume.

  5. Press the OK key.

  6. Press the UP OR DOWN ARROW key to select Beeper.

  7. Press the LEFT OR RIGHT ARROW key to select a Beeper Volume setting.

    • You can select Low, Med., High, or Off.

  8. Press the OK key.

  9. Press the STOP/EXIT key.
<For Touchscreen models>
  1. Press MENU.

  2. Press the UP OR DOWN ARROW key to display General Setup.

  3. Press General Setup.

  4. Press the UP OR DOWN ARROW key to display Volume.

  5. Press Volume.

  6. Press Beeper.

  7. Press Low, Med, High or Off.

  8. Press STOP/ EXIT.

CHANGING SPEAKER VOLUME

You can change your Brother machine's Speaker Volume by following these steps:
*If your Brother machine has a touchscreen, please follow the steps of "For Touchscreen models" below.

  1. Press the MENU key.

  2. Press the UP OR DOWN ARROW key to select General Setup.

  3. Press the OK key.

  4. Press the UP OR DOWN ARROW key to select Volume.

  5. Press the OK key.

  6. Press the UP OR DOWN ARROW key to select Speaker.

  7. Press the LEFT OR RIGHT ARROW key to select a Speaker Volume setting.

    • You can select Low, Med., High, or Off.

  8. Press the OK key.

  9. Press the STOP/EXIT key.
<For Touchscreen models>
  1. Press MENU.

  2. Press the UP OR DOWN ARROW key to display General Setup.

  3. Press General Setup.

  4. Press the UP OR DOWN ARROW key to display Volume.

  5. Press Volume.

  6. Press Speaker.

  7. Press Low, Med, High, or Off.

  8. Press STOP/EXIT.
