I'm using Mac OS® X. I cannot locate my Brother machine from "Printer Setup Utility" or the web browser (Safari). Why?

Resetting the network settings will resolve this issue. We recommend that you print a configuration page before resetting it.


To print the current network settings follow the steps listed below:
  1. Press Menu or Menu/Set key on the control panel.
  2. Press up or down navigation key until Print Reports appears and press Set or Menu/Set.
  3. Press up or down navigation key until Network Cofig appears and press Set or Menu/Set.
  4. The current network settings will be printed.
To reset the network settings follow the steps listed below:
  1. Press Menu or Menu/Set key on the control panel.
  2. Press up or down navigation key until LAN appears and press Set or Menu/Set.
  3. Press up or down navigation key until Factory Reset appears and press Set or Menu/Set.
  4. Now the network settings are reset and the issue should be resolved. Please reset the network configuration referring to the network configuration page you printed.
