How to install the Mac driver via USB/ Wi-Fi®/ wired network
- For Wi-Fi connection, make sure both your wireless access point/router and your printer's network settings are correctly set up. For more information, see the documentation provided with your wireless access point/router, or contact the router manufacturer, your system administrator, or Internet service provider.
- Bluetooth connection is not available for Mac.
- Download the printer driver for Mac from the [Downloads] section of this website.
- Double-click the downloaded PKG file.
- Click Continue.
- The Installation Type information appears. Click Install.
- Enter the User Name and Password, and then click the Install Software button.
- Click Close.

Go to System Settings or System Preference > Printers & Scanners.

Click Add Printer, Scanner, or Fax or the [+] button to set up a printer.

(For macOS12 or earlier) Select Add Printer or Scanner… from the pop-up menu.
For USB connection (Go to step 10)
For Wi-Fi/ wired network connection (Go to step 14)
For USB connection

Connect your printer to the Mac using a USB cable.
Select your printer model name and then, select Other… from the Use pop-up menu. -
In Finder, go to Devices > Macintosh HD > Library > Printers > Brother > PPDs.
Select your printer model's PPD file and then click Open.

Make sure your printer name is listed in the Use field, and then click Add to install the driver.

When the installation is finished, your printer will appear in the Printers & Scanners dialog box.
The driver installation for USB connection is completed.
For Wi-Fi/ wired network connection

Configure the network settings using Windows computer or LCD.

Add the IP address.
- Click the IP icon.
- Enter the IP address in Address.

Select Line Printer Daemon - LPD from the Protocol pop-up menu.
(For TD-4650TNWB/ TD-4650TNWBR/ TD-4750TNWB/ TD-4750TNWBR/ RJ-2055WB/ RJ-3055WB)
When using Wi-Fi, select HP Jetdirect - Socket.
- Enter a printer name in Name.
- Select Other… from the Use pop-up menu.
- Click Add.

In Finder, go to Devices > Macintosh HD > Library > Printers > Brother > PPDs.
Select your printer model's PPD file and then click Open. - Click Add
- The printer driver has been added.
