Why is the leading zero (0) missing after importing the database into P-touch Editor?
For TD-4T/TJ-4T series:
To use P-touch Editor, download and install “Printer Driver for P-touch Editor” from the [Downloads] section of this website.
The column format must be set as Text format so that the leading zeros appear in P-touch Editor after you imported them. Please do the following steps to correct this issue.
For Microsoft Excel:
- Open your Microsoft Excel file.
- Right-click on the column field that has the missing zero(s) and select [Format Cells].
- In the Format Cells dialog box, click the [Number tab].
- In the Number tab under [Category], select [Text], and then click [OK].
- From the menu bar, click [File] and select [Save] to save the file.
- Click [File] again and select [Exit] to close the program.
For Microsoft Access:
- Open your Microsoft Access file.
- In the dialog box, click [Tables] under [Objects].
- Right-click the table name of the database and select [Design View].
- Under [Field Name] (the first column) in the [Design View] window, locate the field that has the missing zero(s).
- Click the Date Type cell for that field. The pull-down arrow will appear in the cell.
- Click the pull-down arrow and select [Text].
- From the menu bar, click [File] - [Save] to save the file.
- Click [File] again and select [Exit] to close the program.
