Set up my Brother machine to forward the received faxes to another location.
You can use your machine's Fax Forwarding feature to forward the faxes you receive to another location. When Fax Forwarding is on, your machine will receive a fax into its memory, dial the fax number you programmed, and forward the fax to that number.
To turn Fax Forwarding on, follow these steps:
*If your Brother machine has a touchscreen, please follow the steps under "For touchscreen models" below.

Press the MENU key.

Press the UP OR DOWN ARROW key to choose Fax.

Press the OK key.

Press the UP OR DOWN ARROW key to choose Setup Receive.

Press the OK key.
-
Press the UP OR DOWN ARROW key to choose Memory Receive.

Press the OK key.
-
Press the UP OR DOWN ARROW key to choose Fax Forward.

Press the OK key.

Do one of the following:
-
To forward faxes to another fax machine, use the dial pad to enter that machine's fax number.
The number can be up to 20 digits long.
You can manually enter a number, or use a One Touch or Speed Dial number.
If you enter a One Touch or Speed Dial number that contains a Group, your faxes will be forwarded to every number in that Group.- To forward faxes to an email address, follow these steps:
If you want to forward faxes to an email address, you must configure your machine's Internet Fax feature.-
Press the UP OR DOWN ARROW key to choose Dial Type.

Press the LEFT OR RIGHT ARROW key to choose E-Address.

Press the OK key.

Press the UP OR DOWN ARROW key to choose Add Number.

Enter an email address on the Dial Pad key.
You can use Dial Pad keys as Standard alphabet character keys.

To forward faxes to another fax machine, use the dial pad to enter that machine's fax number.

Press the OK key.

Press the UP OR DOWN ARROW key to choose Backup Print: On or Backup Print: Off.

If you choose Backup Print: On, your machine will print each received fax so that you'll have a copy if there is a power failure before the fax is forwarded or there is a problem with the receiving machine.
- If you choose Backup Print: Off and a problem occurs during Fax Forwarding, then your received fax may be erased from memory before it can be printed.
If there is a power failure, faxes will be stored in the machine's memory for approximately 24 hours. -
If you choose Backup Print: On, your machine will print each received fax so that you'll have a copy if there is a power failure before the fax is forwarded or there is a problem with the receiving machine.

Press the OK key.
- Press the STOP/EXIT key.

Press Menu on the screen.

Press the UP OR DOWN ARROW to display Fax.

Press Fax.

Press the UP OR DOWN ARROW to display Setup Receive.

Press Setup Receive.

Press the UP OR DOWN ARROW to display Memory Receive.

Press Memory Receive.

Press Fax Forward.

- If you choose Backup Print: Off and a problem occurs during Fax Forwarding, then your received fax may be erased from memory before it can be printed.

If there are faxes in the machine's memory, the machine will give you two options:-
If you press 1, all unprinted faxes will be printed and erased before Fax Forwarding is turned off. If a backup copy has already been printed, it will not be printed again.
- If you press 2, the memory will not be erased and Fax Forwarding will remain on.

If you press 1, all unprinted faxes will be printed and erased before Fax Forwarding is turned off. If a backup copy has already been printed, it will not be printed again.
- Press the STOP/EXIT key.

Press Menu on the screen.

Press the UP OR DOWN ARROW to display Fax.

Press the UP OR DOWN ARROW to display Setup Receive.

Press Off.
