Unpack the machine

Follow the steps below to unpack the machine:
NOTE: Illustrations shown below are from a representative product and may differ from your Brother machine.

 

  1. Open the box.
    Open the box
     
  2. Remove small components and starter toner cartridge.

  3. Lay the box on its side and pull the machine out of the box.
    Pull the machine out of the box
         
  4. Remove packing materials.
    Remove packing materials
     
  5. Remove plastic bag and blue protective tape.
    Remove plasticbag and blue protective tape
     
  6. Open the front cover.

    Open front cover
     

  7. Remove the orange packing material.
    Remove orange packing material
       
  8. Remove the drum unit.
    Remove drum unit
      
  9. Unpack the toner cartridge.
    Unpack toner
      
  10. Remove the protective cover.
    Remove protective cover
         
  11. Put the toner cartridge firmly into the drum unit until you hear it lock into place.
    Put the toner cartridge into drum
    To avoid print quality issue, DO NOT touch the red shaded parts.
    Do not touch the red shaded part
  12. Install drum unit and toner cartridge assembly back into the machine.
    Install drum unit and toner cartridge assembly
     
  13. Close the front cover.
    Close the front cover
