  4. In the Printers windows you will click on File and Server Properties.

  5. Click on the Drivers tab.

  6. Select the "BrotherMFCxxxx" driver or any other Brother driver, then click REMOVE.

  7. Click on START, SETTINGS, CONTROL PANEL and double click on Add/Remove Hardware.

  8. Click Next, then select Uninstall/Unplug a device and click Next.

  10. Put a check mark on "Show hidden files".
  1. Search on the list for any Brother MFC, highlight the item and then click Next.

  2. Add a check mark to "Yes, I want to uninstall this device" and click Next. Click Finish.

  3. Search again following in the same manner and search for other Brother devices and remove them. Go back on the list of "Add/Remove Hardware" several times to make sure everything from Brother is removed.

  4. From My Computer, click on Tools and Folder Options, and then click on View. Put a check mark on "Show hidden files and folders" and uncheck "Hide file extensions for known file types" and then click on OK.

If the OEM file is related to Brother then close that window and delete that file. And delete the PNF file that follows it with the same number (For example: OEM1.PNF). If the file is NOT related to Brother then don't delete that file, just close that window and continue with the other OEM files. You have to go through all the OEM files to make sure nothing is left from the Brother software.
