You can use a Brother software called Remote Printer Console to change the printer settings.
Remote Printer Console is a software to change many of the printer settings independently of your software application. For example, you can change the settings for printer margin, sleep mode, character set and so on. These setting are then remembered and used by the printer.
To use this software, please go to the Download section and install the Remote Printer Console software following the instruction on that page.
