FAQs & Troubleshooting

P-touch Editor Lite pop-up dialog box does not appear when connecting P-touch labeler to my computer.

If the pop-up dialog does not appear, refer to the following:

  • Check that the power is ON.

  • Check that the USB cable is correctly connected.

  • Check that the Editor Lite lamp is lit. If not, press and hold down the Editor Lite button until the green Editor Lite lamp lights up.

  • Check that the operating system on your PC is Windows Vista or later.

  • Is it the first time the printer has been connected to your PC?
    When you connect the printer to your PC for the first time, you may encounter a time out by the Windows Shell Hardware Detection service, for example if a process of driver load is delayed finding the printer or it takes a long time to assign the drive letter.

    <Solution>
    Turn off the printer and disconnect the USB cable from your PC, then reconnect and turn on the printer again. You only need to do this process once, and the pop-up dialog box will then appear every time the printer is connected.

  • Even though your PC is supported by Windows Vista or later, the pop-up dialog box may not appear depending on the PC environment.
