Turn Setting Lock On

MFC-L8690CDW

  1. Press [Settings]>[All Settings]>[General Setup]>[Setting Lock]>[Lock Off⇒On].
    If your machine displays the [All Settings] menu on the Home screen, skip the [Settings] menu.
  2. Enter the current four-digit password.
  3. Press [OK].
To turn Setting Lock off, press on the LCD, enter the current four-digit password, and then press [OK].

MFC-L8900CDW/MFC-L9570CDW

  1. Press [Admin Settings].
  2. Type the current password, and then press [OK].
  3. Press [Restriction Management]>[Setting Lock]>[On].
  4. When the machine prompts you to select the next step, choose your selection.
To turn Setting Lock off, repeat the step 1 and 2, and then press [Restriction Management]>[Setting Lock]>[Off].
