A message appears informing to "The optical photoconductor needs to be replaced./ The paper tray is almost empty. " on my Macintosh.

a message: The optical photoconductor needs to be replaced./ The paper tray is almost empty.

 

This error message appears when the paper tray is almost empty or the drum unit is near the end of  its life.
