Stains appear at the edge on the reverse side of the borderless prints when using inkjet papers.

You can solve this issue by updating your Brother machine's firmware. Update the firmware by following the steps listed below.

 

  1. Check the firmware version of your machine.

  2. Below are the required versions of the firmware to solve this issue. If your machine's firmware version is earlier than the required one, update the machine's firmware. Click here to download Firmware Update Tool and see more information in the Downloads section to update the firmware.

    For MFC-J2310: Ver. C

    For MFC-J2510: Ver. E

    For MFC-J4310DW: Ver. C

    For MFC-J4410DW: Ver. C

    For MFC-J4510DW: Ver. E

    For MFC-J4710DW: Ver. A

To ensure the highest print quality when copying/ printing high-quality documents and photos, we recommend setting the Quality (for copy)/ Print Quality (for print) to Best.
