How do I make my copied images look sharper and more vivid? (Copy Contrast)
Temporarily changing the Copy Contrast setting
You can make your copied images look sharper and more vivid by adjusting your Brother machine's Copy Contrast setting.
To change the Copy Contrast setting for your next copy job, follow these steps:
- Press Copy to illuminate it.
- Place the document you want to copy into the Automatic Document Feeder (ADF) face down, top edge first.
- Use the dial pad to enter the number of copies you want to make (up to 99).
- Press Options.
- Press the Up or Down arrow key to choose Contrast.
- Do one of the following:
- Press the Left arrow key to increase the contrast.
- Press the Right arrow key to decrease the contrast.
- Press the Left arrow key to increase the contrast.
- Press OK.
- Press Start.
Programming a new default Copy Contrast setting
You can change your Brother machine's default Copy Contrast setting by following these steps:
- Press Menu and choose Copy => Contrast.
- Do one of the following:
- Press the Left arrow key to increase the contrast.
- Press the Down arrow key to decrease the contrast.
- Press the Left arrow key to increase the contrast.
- Press OK.
- Press Stop/Exit.
