The computer fails to boot during its start-up process.

When starting up your computer with your Brother machine switched on and connected with the USB cable, your computer fails to start and displays only a black screen, please follow the instructions below:

  1. Shut down the computer.
  2. Disconnect the USB cable from your Brother machine.
  3. Start the computer.

If the computer successfully boots, the problem is with your Brother machine.
 

To solve this problem, please download Firmware Update Tool to get the latest firmware for your Brother machine.

If the computer still fails to boot after the USB cable has been disconnected from your Brother machine, the problem may be with the computer.
Contact your computer supplier for further information.
